Pre-Surgery Preparation

Go into surgery relaxed — come out recovering faster.

The problem

Most people spend the day before surgery anxious and tense. Preparing the body beforehand is one of the most overlooked ways to improve what happens afterward.

Jeff's approach

Research has shown that receiving a massage within 24 hours or less prior to surgery can reduce a client's pain levels by up to one-third post-surgery. Clients tend to spend close to one-third less time in the hospital, because the body is able to recover faster. They also deal with less looming pain, less lactic acid, and a faster recovery of mobility.

Techniques

Full-body deep tissue massage focused on general relaxation and removing muscle tension throughout the body — so clients rest better before the procedure and recover better after it.

Best starting point

At-home allows more relaxation. With a bath and a good night's rest afterward, clients are ready for their surgical procedure the next day.
